A highly stable, oil-soluble derivative of kojic acid used as a potent skin-brightening agent to treat hyperpigmentation, melasma, and dark spots. It acts by inhibiting melanin production (tyrosinase activity) more effectively than raw kojic acid without causing color changes in formulations
