Personal care, Hair care and cosmetics.
Uses
Used in concentrations of 1-10% and should be added to the oil phase of a formula.
Can withstand moderate heating up to ~70 °C during emulsification but prolonged heating above 50 °C accelerates oxidation of linoleic acid.
Best practice: Add in the cool‑down phase (<40 °C) to preserve antioxidants (Vitamin E, phytosterols).
