Cetearyl Alcohol is a plant-derived blend of Cetyl and Stearyl alcohol. It is used as an emollient, thickener, and emulsion stabilizer in skincare and haircare formulations. It helps create smooth oil-in-water mixtures, enhances product texture and viscosity, boosts surfactant performance, and forms a protective barrier that helps soften and condition dry skin and hair while reducing moisture loss.

Can be used in concentrations of 0-10% and should be added to the oil phase of a formula.

Benefits
Helps thicken non-gelling formulations and improve viscosity. When used at concentrations below 2%, it can also function as a combined emulsifier and thickener. Additionally, it may enhance foam production when paired with surfactants.
